Karen Van Wert

Karen Van Wert started her music ministry at the age of 4 singing in the St. Paul Lutheran Church children’s choir in Hampton, Iowa. Her love of music and her Lord continued to grow and has followed her around the world.

Twenty-five years ago, Karen was introduced to handbells as a charter member of the St. Stephen handbell choir. Karen has developed her solo ringing technique and expanded her performances to include travel throughout Minnesota, Iowa and as far away as Germany.

In addition to ringing, Karen shares her love of ringing by offering classes and coaching. Karen has also had the opportunity to teach at Area VII HMA festivals and Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar. She also hosted the inaugural Into the Forest, a gathering of bell tree ringers to share knowledge.

Karen and husband, James Fuchs, make their home in Savage, MN.

A personal note from Karen:
Thank you to the music publishers for permission to share this music.

Also, thank you to Area 7, Handbell Musicians of America for sponsoring this event.
I want to express my deepest thanks to God for the gift of music.
I pray the indwelling Holy Spirit is touched by the joyful noise of bells ringing praise to the Lord.
