Stacey Nordmeyer

Wisconsin – Southern Sub-Area Chair

My name is Stacey Nordmeyer, and I am pleased to serve Area 7 as the Southern Wisconsin Sub-Area Chair. I began ringing handbells in 5th Grade in my church bell choir, and rang all through high school, touring my Junior and Senior years. I then attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theory/History. Since then, I’ve been involved in bells in one way or another: solo and small ensemble ringing, directing, writing and recording. In 2015, I joined the Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble, and with that group performed at Area Festival in Sioux Falls and at National Seminar in Grand Rapids. This past July, I attended National Seminar in Phoenix and was thrilled to be chosen to ring in the All Star choir! I direct the praise band and one of the handbell ensembles at UNITY Lutheran Church in Brookfield, WI. I am the Church Choral Editor for Hal Leonard and Shawnee Press and have a number of choral anthems published in both catalogs. I especially enjoy writing music for choir and handbells! I’m married to Kevin, and we have one son. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a good book, traveling, geocaching and camping.
