Alanna Teragawa
Events Coordinator
Alanna Teragawa was one of the charter members in the handbell choir in 1986 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagan. After being trained at the International Music Camp with Fred Merrett and AGEHR’s Master Conducting Classes with Bill Payn, she started her journey in 1995 as a handbell ensemble conductor. She continues her education by attending classes at the National Seminars hosted by Handbell Musicians of America. She enjoys working with the talented ringers and friends at four congregations in the Twin Cities: Mount Calvary Lutheran in Eagan, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran in Apple Valley, Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, and St. Luke’s Lutheran in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Alanna has appreciated the opportunity to serve as an Area 7 volunteer since the year 2000. Starting as an appointed Sub-Area Chair, elected to the Area’s six year term of Chair-Elect/Chairperson/Past-Chair, and was appointed the Area Events Coordinator in 2010, a position she currently holds.
During the week, Alanna works as an office manager at a metro Minneapolis service bureau that converts microfilm and microfiche (remember those?) to digital images for companies throughout the nation.
